The EDHEC Connection
EDHEC-Risk Institutional Days 8 and 9 December at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco

In this Anniversary year we are enhancing the IPE Awards, in particular, by including access to the EDHEC-Risk Institutional Days, to make the combined events the new highlight of the pension fund year. Recognised as the leading institutional asset management event in Europe, the Institutional Days and the IPE Awards together provide investors with an unequalled opportunity to expand their horizons and keep abreast of the latest developments.

The EDHEC-Risk Institutional Days in 2010 has three
events as part of the main conference:

  • The Global Institutional Investment Conference
  • The Indexation and Passive Management Investment Conference
  • Inaugural PhD Forum Over the two days, investors can attend a mix of plenary sessions, stream sessions and workshops. The conference will present the latest research results for both traditional and alternative investments. The event will be in English throughout.

The Institutional Days are designed to enable European investment professionals to assess the results of research with their own needs. EDHEC-Risk, as an independent force for research in investment management, has adopted an approach which leaves time for instruction and discussion during the sessions. It is a 'must-attend' event for investors keen to keep abreast of best practices in investing, both from a practical and conceptual perspective.

On the first day the Indexation and Passive Investment Conference, under the banner of 'Back to basics', will aim to differentiate between indices and benchmarks and the resultant consequences for investment management, while on the second day, EDHEC-Risk's research will be presented by its professors and researchers on the projects they are active in, followed by panel discussions with institutional investors.

A new feature in 2010 is the PhD Forum, where three presentations will be given by students from the EDHEC-Risk Institute's PhD in Finance Programme. Details available: www.edhec-risk.com
