Problems logging-in to IPE.com

We appreciate that this can be frustrating. There are a few common reasons why this may be happening – these may seem obvious to some, but please do check the list below:

1. Ensure the details you have entered are correct

Firstly please ensure you have entered your email address and password combination correctly. Your password is case sensitive – ensure that neither ‘Caps Lock’ or ‘Num Lock’ on your keyboard are activated.

If you cannot remember the password, you can request that a password reminder be sent to your email.

2. Check your cookie settings

What are cookies?

They are simple pieces of data that, in this instance, help IPE.com remember who you are. They have no personal identification information of use to any third party; they only have information useful to the IPE website. These cookies are neither spyware nor viruses, although some computer security programs may treat them with suspicion.

In order for the ‘remember me’ feature on the IPE login to work correctly, your computer will need to accept and retain the IPE cookie.

Ok, so how do I check?

Firstly, find out what web browser you are using. Go to the "Help" menu and choose ‘About’. The screen that pops up will list your browser and version number. Here are instructions for recent versions of the most popular browsers:

Internet Explorer 6.0
With Internet Explorer 6.0, you can choose to allow cookies from individual sites. Thus, you can allow cookies from the IPE web site regardless of your settings for cookies in general. In order to do this, follow the steps listed below

  • Under Tools, choose Internet Options
  • Under Internet Options, choose the Privacy tab (see pic)
  • In the Web Sites box at the bottom, click the Edit button
  • In the text box labeled "Address of Web Site" type ipe.com (see pic)
  • Click Allow

This will now allow the IPE website to add cookies to your computer regardless of your standard cookie settings.

Netscape Navigator 7.0
With Netscape Navigator, follow these steps:

  1. Visit www.ipe.com
  2. Under Tools, choose Cookie Manager
  3. Choose "Unblock cookies from this site". If that option is not available, then you are already accepting cookies from www.ipe.com

This will now allow the IPE website to add cookies to your computer regardless of your standard cookie settings.

3. Are you behind a Firewall?

Business and personal firewalls may also be blocking cookies. To make changes regarding business firewalls, please consult your IT personnel. For personal firewalls and other security products, consult your software manual.

4. Website Acceleration/Internet Security software

Both of these can sometimes remove cookie data, so if you are using either or both of these you may want to temporarily disable them to see if that solves the problem.

5. I’ve tried all of that and I still have problems logging in

If nothing else works then you can try these options:

  • Restart your computer
  • Try a different computer
  • Try a different Internet connection
  • Contact Us - please give us as much information as you can about your account and the problems you are experiencing.

Thank you for your patience, we hope you are able to resolve your login problems and that you enjoy visiting IPE.com.
