Pensions Management Institute (PMI) – Paul Couchman has been elected president, succeeding Susan Andrews, who will step down on 18 July. Vice-presidents will be newly elected Gerry Degaute of the Royal Mail Pension Plan and re-elected Susan Smith of Pi Consulting. Couchman is managing director at Premier Pensions.

Vanguard Investments SwitzerlandPeter Ritler has been appointed senior institutional sales executive in Zurich, where he will be responsible for the development of institutional business at Vanguard in Switzerland, focusing on index funds and exchange-traded funds. He will report to Simon Vanstone, head of European institutional business. Earlier in his career, Ritler worked at Threadneedle Investments in Zurich a senior sales manager.

LCP – The consultancy has announced nine new promotions to partner. They include Michelle Butler, Andy Cheseldine, John Clements, James Fermont, Wendy Hawes, Helen Howell, Matt Mandelbaum, Stacy O’Sullivan and Emma Watkins

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) – Chris De Marco has been appointed head of client strategy. He joins from Aon Hewitt, where he was an investment consultant, to lead the newly created client strategy team. Before then, he was managing director and head of insurance and pension solution sales at HSBC.

Legal & General Paul Trickett has been appointed independent chairman of the WorkSave Mastertrust. He joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was managing director and head of the EMEA global portfolio solutions team from 2011 to 2013. Before then, he spent 13 years at Watson Wyatt/Towers Watson.

Council of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) – Nick Salter, senior partner and co-founder of Barnett Waddingham, has been appointed president-elect. Salter will take up his position on 24 June, when David Hare becomes president and current president, Philip Scott, becomes immediate past president.  

RWCLouise Keeling has joined the asset manager to set up a global equity team. She joins from Marathon Asset Management, where she was a portfolio manager for six years. RWC said it would make further announcements regarding the development of team shortly.

AllenbridgeEpic Investment Advisers – The investment adviser to UK pension funds has appointed Mark Willis as a senior adviser. He joins from Nationwide Building Society, where he was head of market risk. Before then, he worked at SG Warburg Group, Tullett & Tokyo Financial Services and Peat Marwick Mitchell.
