The £6bn (e 9.1bn) British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) pension scheme has appointed three new investment managers for £1.2bn of assets, hiving significant chunks from the portfolios of existing managers Mercury, Schroders, Invesco and M&G. State Street Global Advisors scooped a £600m indexed international equities brief with both Henderson Investors and Rothschild Asset Management winning £300m apiece in active international bonds to be benchmarked against UK bonds. The shift follows on from an asset liability study carried out for the fund by Watson Wyatt, which also advised on the tender process.
