NETHERLANDS - Dutch industry-wide pensions provider Cordares says it has expanded its sales, strategy and innovation team with three new members.

From September 1 the company hired Wendy de Jong, Remco Zomer and Alwin Oerlemans as senior business developers.

De Jong was previously at AlpInvest Partners and ABN Amro.

Oerlemans joins from NIBC, where he was head of research, financial markets, focusing on pension business development and real estate. Zomer was director at VDA-software and at FundPartners.

"The new sales, strategy and innovation team will focus on enhancing commercial relationships, development of new pension products for plan participants as well as new asset management solutions," Jeroen Tielman, the team's managing director, told IPE.

According to the company all positions within the team have now been filled.

The news comes as Cordares has revealed European expansion plans recently.

The firm seeks to offer a new "Italianised" defined contribution scheme to the Italian market.

Cordares - formerly known as SFB Groep - provides pension management and income insurance for over a million and has over €23bn in assets under management.
