Dexia fuses Labouchere and Kempen arms

NETHERLANDS/BELGIUM – Securities specialist bank, Bank Labouchere and asset management group, Kempen & Co, both based in Amsterdam and part of the Brussels based Dexia group, have merged to form Dexia Bank Nederland.

In addition, the activities of Kempen & Co and Bank Labouchere in the fields of corporate finance, equity sales, trading and research will be combined with Dexia’s other European activities in these areas under the name Dexia Securities.

The Dexia group is listed on the Brussels, Luxembourg and Paris stock exchanges and has a market value of more than €17bn.

Its core activities include public sector lending, asset management, retail and private banking, fund administration, research, brokerage and corporate finance.
