Eggleton to head UK Pensions Management Institute
UK – Ian Eggleden, European partner and unit head of the William M. Mercer retirement practice, has been elected president of the UK Pensions Management Institute (PMI) for 2001/2002.
Alongside Eggleden, Tony Ashmore, an independent trustee and barrister has been elected vice president and Roger Cobley, a former group pensions director at Fisons, will take up the position of honorary treasurer at the PMI.
The appointments will take effect from this year’s PMI annual general meeting on July 12. Vice presidents of the organisations are elected for two-year terms, Tony Ashmore will serve from July 2001 to 2003, and Bob Bridges, who was elected vice president in 2000, continues in his post until 2002.
PMI is the UK professional body for people working in the field of pensions. It has over 4,400 individual members drawn from every pensions sector, including legal, actuarial, management, administrative and consultancy.
