GLOBAL – EIOPA, Lepcam, European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, Aviva Investors, Jupiter Asset Management, MyCSP

EIOPA – The board of supervisors of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has appointed four members to the management board. Peter Braumüller, managing director of the Financial Market Authority in Austria, and Jan Parner, deputy director general of Finanstilsynet in Denmark, have both been re-elected. Felix Hufeld, chief executive director of insurance supervision at Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), and Sergej Simoniti, director of the Insurance Supervision Agency in Slovenia, are both newly appointed. Those four members have been elected for two and half years, with the possibility to see their mandate extended once.

LepcamDirk Lepelmeier confirmed he has left the Versorgungswerk NAEV to expand the family consultancy and increase his work at Osnabrück University. In mid-May, it had become known that Lepelmeier left his position as managing director responsible for asset management after 15 years at NAEV. He confirmed that the Lepcam consultancy – made up of the first three letters of his name and “cam” for “capital asset management” – had been founded already in 2009, with both his sons being involved. He said the consultancy was concentrating on asset allocation, which “accounts for 70% of the return”. Lepelmeier has also taken on a professorship for finance and controlling at Osnabrück University starting in the autumn term.

European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EVCA) – George Anson of HarbourVest Partners has been appointed chairman, the “first investor” to hold the position, according to the EVCA. He succeeded TPG Capital’s Vincenzo Morelli at the association’s 30th anniversary symposium, held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Aviva InvestorsJohn Misselbrook, currently a non-executive director on Aviva Investors’ board, has been appointed interim chief executive. He has held a number of senior management and operational roles globally, including COO at Baring Asset Management. Subject to regulatory approval, he will replace former interim chief executive Paul Abberley, who will now resume his responsibilities as head of investments.

Jupiter Asset ManagementAndrej Brodnik has been appointed head of sales for Jupiter’s operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Brodnik has worked at Merrill Lynch/BlackRock for 12 years in a number of sales roles, most recently as managing director of the German retail business. He was also responsible for its Eastern European business.

MyCSPLord Hutton of Furness is to step down as chairman of the mutual joint venture pension administrator. Lord Hutton has chaired MyCSP through the transformation from a public sector provider to a mutual joint venture.
