GLOBAL - De Nederlandsche Bank, Brookfield Investment Management, Jackal Advisory, Ashcourt Rowan, Man Group, H.I.G. Capital
DNB - The shareholders of the Dutch pensions regulator De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) have appointed Feike Sijbesma as a member of the supervisory board. Sijbesma has been executive chairman at chemicals giant DSM since 2007, having been a member of the company’s executive board since 2000. Earlier, he served in several positions at Gist Brocades before DSM acquired it.
Brookfield Investment Management - Mark Northway has been appointed managing director, responsible for the company’s business throughout Europe, with a particular focus on institutional investors. He joins from Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg, where he served as global head of credit capital markets. Before then, he held an executive position at Rabobank.
Jackal Advisory - Simon Kew has been promoted from senior manager to director. The position has been created to encompass the expanded scope and remit of Kew’s role, the company said. He joined Jackal in October 2010 from the UK Pensions Regulator, where he held a number of roles in scheme funding, pension administration and governance and finally as government relations manager.
Ashcourt Rowan - Toni Meadows has been appointed chief investment officer, reporting to David Esfandi, who has been given the task of completely reviewing the company’s investment proposition. Meadows joins from Broadstone Pensions & Investments with the remit to develop Ashcourt’s research.
Man Group - The alternative investment manager has appointed Ravi Chari as co-head of foreign exchange at AHL, Man Group’s systematic managed futures manager. He joins from IKOS Asset Management, where he headed the futures and foreign exchange funds. Before then, he worked at DKR Capital and Caxton Associates.
H.I.G. Capital - The private equity firm has appointed Carl Harring as managing director of its London office. He joins from HgCapital, where he led a number of small and medium-sized European LBOs. Before that, he spent nine years at Apax Partners in London.
