NETHERLANDS - The €10bn pension fund of Dutch ING bank has named Daan Heijting, who until now was director of the PNO Media  industry-wide fund, as its new director.

Harry Hooijmans, chairman of the board of the ING pension fund, told IPE Heijting will start in his new post on March 1, replacing Sako Zeverijn.

Commenting on the move, Heijting said: "In the last few years, no stone has been left untouched with pension fund PNO Media. The internal organisation is now very strong. For me, personally this means that it is time to say goodbye."

He added: "I am honoured to become director to build further on Pensioenfonds ING, one of the three largest corporate pension funds in the Netherlands."
