Interpolis’ Staats to join Swiss Life
NETHERLANDS – Gerard Staats, legal and tax adviser at pensions manager Interpolis, is to leave to join Swiss Life (ZwitserLeven) in a policymaking role.
Staats - who has been at Interpolis for 15 years - will be leaving on December 15, and starts at his new job the next day.
He has been a legal and fiscal adviser with regards to retirement provisions, and Interpolis is currently looking for a replacement.
Staats, 40, will take up the position as policymaker with a focus on retirement and provisions.
He will represent Swiss Life and will give advice regarding second and third pillar retirement provisions.
“Of course, I'll also answer all kinds of questions from colleagues as well as intermediaries,” Staats told IPE.
“ZL asked me to join them. We had several talks and things worked out fine. I felt I had to change jobs in order to learn new things, a new company, new colleagues,” he said regarding factors motivating his decision to leave.
Staats will also stay on in his role as lecturer in the Fiscal Institute at Tilburg University.
Interpolis is merging with fellow pension firm Achmea.
