NETHERLANDS - Meng-lei Wu has taken up the function of treasurer at the €12bn Doctors' Pension Fund Services, or DPFS.

Mr Wu, 37, has taken over from Timon Smid, who has left to join Aegon Asset Management, a spokeswoman added.

The new DPFS treasurer had been allocation manager at asset management at the €201bn Dutch civil service scheme Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP since 2004. A successor hasn't been appointed yet, an ABP spokesman indicated.

DPFS - the former SBA Artsen Pensioenfondsen - carries out pension and asset management for the occupational schemes for general practitioners SPH, and medical consultants SPMS.

The scheme has 14,000 active members and 10,000 pensioners.
