UK- F&C Management has appointed Anthony Broccardo as chief investment officer after Arnab Banerji announced earlier this year that he was leaving the company to pursue a career in public services following his appointment as a member of the advisory panel of a government think tank.

Broccardo, who joins in October, comes from Invesco where he was institutional CIO and, before that, head of global equities. Prior to Invesco he held senior investment positions at both Nomura and BZW. In his new role Broccardo will join the board of F&C Management.

F&C, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eureko, concentrates on the European market and specialises in the UK, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany and Ireland.

Says Broccardo: “the pan-European marketplace is one of the most exciting and challenging areas for asset managers.”
