UK – The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has published a new guide for trustees of defined contribution schemes to help them comply with the principles of the Myners review.

The guide, a booklet called “The Myners Principles: Rising to the Challenge”, is designed to simplify the complex language surrounding pension scheme investment and provides help for DB trustees in making their investment processes meet Myners’ recommendations.

The NAPF published a similar guides for trustees of DB schemes in March, but a spokesman for the association says that DC and DB differ sufficiently in certain areas to warrant a separate guide.

Says chairman of the NAPF working group which oversaw the production of the book, Ken Ayers: “this new publication gives trustees an accessible and structured guide to complying with the Myners Principles.”
