Russell Investments - Heath Mottram and David Hickey have joined the fiduciary management team. Mottram joins from the Royal Mail pension plan, where he worked for six years. He has also worked with Watson Wyatt and Lane Clark & Peacock, and he has recently been appointed to the NAPF Investment Council. Hickey joins from Barclays Capital, where he was head of UK and Ireland pension origination. Before then, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Aviva Investors - Catrinus van Willigen has been appointed managing director for the Benelux region as the company opens a new office in Utrecht. Before then, he was interim head of institutional sales and account management for Benelux, Italy, the Nordics and the UK at Robeco. He has also worked at Rabobank and the Institute for Research and Investment Services in the Netherlands.
Pioneer Investments - Sean Taylor has joined as head of global emerging markets equity, while Fabiana Fedeli has joined as senior portfolio manager for Asian equities. Taylor joins from GAM, where he was responsible for managing global emerging and frontier market funds. Before then, he was head of global equity at Société Générale Asset Management UK. Fedeli joins from Occam Asset Management, where she was a partner and fund manager, co-managing the Asia ex Japan fund.
Unigestion - Daniel Ritz has been appointed director of institutional clients for the new office in Zurich. He joins from Clariden Leu, where he was head of institutional clients. In 1998, Ritz joined Bank Leu as head of asset management before being promoted to head of institutional clients, a position he kept after the mergers that created Clariden Leu in 2007. Before then, he worked at UBS.
Towers Watson - Barry Perkins has been appointed benefits financing specialist. Before joining the consultancy, he spent eight years with HSBC, first as an employee benefits consultant with HSBC Actuaries and Consultants and more recently as a senior manager within the Group Insurance Risk function. He has also held positions at Munich Re and Canada Life.
