SPAIN – Invesco Asset Management Spain has named Miguel Rona as its new general director, replacing Juan Marin who is joining Fortis Investments.

An Invesco spokeswoman said Rona, who has been with Invesco in Spain for a number of years, would replace Marin.

Fortis said in a statement that it has appointed Marin as head of client service and business development for Spain and Latin America.

“I decided to join Fortis Investments because I have seen a very lively organisation with the ambition to build a significant presence in the asset management sector,” he said in a statement.

Marin will report to Thomas Rostron, global head of client service and business development.

Rostron said: “Juan is one of the most prestigious people in the Spanish asset management market. He has excellent contacts with banks, distribution networks and institutional clients and he will doubtlessly contribute significantly to our ambitious sales goals.”
