Skandia has appointed three new directors to its board- Günter Rexrodt, Oonagh McDonald and Clas Reuterskiöld. Skandia’s nominating committee has also re-elected the chief executive Lars-Eric Petersson.

Rexrodt is a member of Germany’s Bundesrat and a former minister of economics. Previously he worked at the German chamber of commerce and Citibank.

Reuterskiöld is retiring as president and CEO of Swedish investment firm Industrivarden and McDonald was previously a director at the UK’s Financial Services Authority and was also a member of Parliament.

Other changes include the departure of Johan Odfjell who has been appointed chairman of the Nordic property and insurance company If, Bengt Braun is resigning from the board having served a number terms and Boel Flodgren and Melker Schörling have both been re-elected to the board.
