GLOBAL - Pension Corporation, Mercer, UBP Asset Management, Threadneedle, Mirae Asset Global Investments, AllianceBernstein, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Osmosis Investment Managers, Kommalpha Institutional Consulting, Sacker & Partners

Pension Corporation - Richard Hawke, Toby Gravett, Rupinder Eardley and Jamie Dobbin have joined the Pension Corporation, reporting to head of operations Matt Gore. Hawke will be head of transition programme management and Gravett PMO manager, while Eardley will be a senior transition manager and Jamie Dobbin a senior pensions administrator.

Mercer - Wayne Fitzgibbon joins the consultancy's London office as principal and senior consultant in Mercer's investment consultancy business. Fitzgibbon joins from Macquarie Investment Bank in Australia, where he was head of fixed income, currency and comodities.

AllianceBernstein - Ian Burton joins the company as head of UK consultant relations. Burton joins from Pioneer Investments, where he was head of UK Consultant Relations. At AllianceBernstein, he will report to Richard Haxe, EMEA head of institutional and retail distribution and client service.

Mirae Asset Global Investments - Kenho Kim has been named head of the company's European business. Prior to joining Mirae in 2007, Kim was a portfolio manager at Korea's National Pension Service and has helped in the development of Korea's sovereign wealth fund.

Osmosis Investment Management - Denise Saber joins from Insight Investment, where she was head of European business development. As head of distribution at Osmosis, Saber will be charged with developing relationships with institutional investors across Europe.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership - Jeremy Charles has been appointed the investment director of UK equities. Charles joins from Aviva UK Life, where he was senior portfolio manager. At SWIP, he will report to Peter Cockburn, now head of UK equities following his promotion in May.

Threadneedle - Jim Cielinski has been appointed head of fixed income and will assume his role in October. Cielinski, who joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was managing director and head of global investment-grade credit, will oversee the company's institutional and retail funds. He joins not long after the announcement that Mark Burgess would replace current CIO Sarah Arkle, who will retire next year.

UBP Asset Management - Larry Morgenthal has joined from Ivy Asset Management as the group's chief executive. Morgenthal, who began his career managing the assets for pension funds in the US, has also been named CIO for alternatives.

Kommalpha Institutional Consulting - Rainer Schröder joins as partner, with a background in mutual funds and Spezialfonds. Schröder has worked for Invesco Asset Management and Threadneedle Investments, but was most recently head of institutional sales at WestLB Mellon Asset Management.

Sacker & Partners
- Claire van Rees joins as a solicitor from Hogan Lovells. Van Rees has recently focused on advising on projects to manage pensions liabilities. She is a graduate of St Anne's College, Oxford University and Leiden University in the Netherlands.
