PGGM/PFZW's position is made abundantly clear in IPE's previous coverage of the story. All they do is cite "international law" and the UN over and over again. But there is no such thing as "international law". If international law is not recognised by Israel, or the US for that matter, it can hardly be called international. The UN should not be considered a benchmark for ethics by any stretch. This organisation equated Zionism with racism until 1991! Its stance and obsession with this conflict, at the expense of many other conflicts, is well documented. And does PGGM/PFZW base its every SRI decision on the UN? Or is it selective? It's utterly absurd to argue that this decision is apolitical. A small group of people, nine in this case, are making political decisions with other people's money without consulting them. That's undemocratic and unethical. If you want to take a side in the conflict, do it with your own money.
