Senior private equity partner quitting ATP
DENMARK - Jens Bisgaard-Frantzen, managing partner at ATP Private Equity Partners is leaving.
Bisgaard-Frantzen is to leave the private equity arm of the Denmark's giant ATP fund with some €50bn in assets, to start a new business within alternative asset investing, the fund stated.
ATP is among the funds with the largest private equity portfolios in Europe. In 2001 Bisgaard-Frantzen announced the fund's ambitious investment target of putting over €3bn into the asset class over the next years.
To date, ATP Private Equity Partners has committed almost €3.5bn to private equity funds and so far €1.5bn is invested. "And has produced attractive returns," the fund added.
The remaining managing partners at ATP Private Equity Partners are Torben Vangstrup, Susanne Forsingdal and Klaus Rühne.
