UK – State Street has named Yvonne Franklin to head consultant relations in the UK.

“Yvonne will be responsible for State Street’s outreach to the consultant community – particularly in the pension and collective investment sectors,” the bank said in a statement.

Franklin joined the Boston-based group in 1997. Since 1999 she has been responsible for new business development in the pension and collective investment sectors in the UK. Franklin would not be directly replaced in the new business role, said a spokeswoman.

She said that Richard Fodder, who is head of sales for investor services in the UK following the acquisition of the Deutsche business, heads up all new business development initiatives in the UK.

Franklin will report to Martha Whitman, the head of relationship management for State Street’s investor services business in the UK.

“We have made considerable progress over the last two years in building our leadership as the service provider of choice for pension and collective investment clients,” said Whitman.

“Given this considerable momentum and the number of new mandates we have won this year, we feel acknowledging the key role of consultants in these sectors is critically important, and we have a team here at State Street dedicated to meeting their needs.”

State Street says it has expanded its market share in the UK and Germany to service 24% and 21% respectively of pension funds and pooled funds.

State Street has also named Jon Wrigley as vice president and head of taxation services in the UK. He was previously senior tax manager for Mellon Europe
