GLOBAL - Watson Wyatt, Hewitt, ING, Aberdeen, Close Brothers, BlackRock, SWIP, Henderson, Invesco, PCS, Pioneer, Cazenove.

Watson Wyatt - Mayur Lodhia starts as an investment consultant within the London-based client consulting team. He joins from Old Mutual Asset Managers where he was an investment structuring actuary. Additionally, Watson Wyatt has appointed five investment analysts to various teams in Europe, including: Kevin Jeffrey from Alexander Forbes Financial Services; George Aristides from Deloitte & Touche, Mihir Shah from Barnett Waddingham LLP, Aamer Hanif from Oxford University and Julien Roueche.

Hewitt - The consultant's Dutch operation has hired Mercer's Arnold Jager as a senior retirement consultant. Coenraad Vos, is also joining from Mercer, to serve clients but will spend part of his time on research projects while Jan Peters Sengers, from Interpolis, will manage Hewitt's Pension Legal Team in Eindhoven and Petra Bouma has joined Hewitt from ConQuaestor, to manage one of the retirement consulting workgroups.

ING - Martin Nijkamp, currently head of institutional business development, has been appointed as head of business strategy at ING Investment Management Europe. Maaike van Meer has been promoted to head the legal and compliance unit from April 1. Both are also members of the management team of ING Investment Management Europe.

Aberdeen Asset Management - James Laing has been promoted to head the Pan-European equities team.

Close Brothers - Christopher Clayton, previously with Grant Thornton and the Pensions Regulator, is joining as managing director to head its Pensions Advisory Group.

BlackRock - The company has nabbed seven people from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, who were part of its European team. They will join the European Equity Style Diversified team which will be led by Nigel Bolton (pictured), previously Head of European Equities at SWIP. The other six joiners are: Vincent Devlin, Alister Hibbert, Zehrid Osmani, Amy Henderson, Stefan Gries and Kathleen Dickson.

SWIP - Chris Clarke has left Alliance Trust to join the Edinburgh office as investment director for European equities.

Henderson - Clemens Rumpler (pictured) is the new head of Global Investors' real estate unit in Austria. He joins from Immofinanz.

Invesco Perpetual - Monique Stephens has joined from Fidelity International, starting within the institutional sales team as sales manager, focusing on prospective institutional clients in the UK.

Pension Capital Strategies - KPMG's Saroop Rooprai, joins in London as actuarial consultant, while Mercer's Tiziana Perrella starts at the Manchester office at the end of this month.

Pioneer Investments - Kenneth Taubes has been promoted to head of portfolio management, US, succeeding Charles Mayer in this role, who retired in December.

Cazenove Capital - Robin Griffiths from Rathbones has joined the hedge fund team and will be taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Cazenove Worldwide absolute return fund.
