GLOBAL - USS, TPR, UBS, State Street, American Century Investments, Cordea Savills, Aquila Capital

Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) - Peter Moon is to retire from his position as chief investment officer (CIO) early next year. The USS is currently recruiting to find a replacement.

The Pensions Regulator - John Scampion CBE has been re-appointed chairman of the Pensions Regulator’s determinations panel for another four years from April 06 2009.  Scampion CBE, who is currently chair of the Audit Committee of the Healthcare Commission, has been serving as chair of the determinations panel for the past four years.

UBS AG - Michel Demare, Ann Godbehere and Axel Lehmann have been nominated for the Board of Directors. Demare has been president of global markets for ABB since November 2008. Godehere’s latest role was as chief financial officer (CFO) of Northern Rock and Lehmann is currently group chief risk officer of Zurich Financial ServicesErnesto Bertarelli, Gabrielle Kauufmann-Kohler and Joerg Wolle, current members of the board, will not stand for re-election.

State Street Corporation - Robert Kaplan and Patrick de Saint-Aignan have been elected to join the board of directors with immediate effect. Kaplan is currently professor of management practice at Harvard Business School and was previously vice chairman of the Goldman Sachs Group. Saint-Aignan retired from Morgan Stanley in 2007, where he worked as a managing director.

American Century Investments - Peter Brackett and Sigrid Johann have been made vice presidents to the firm’s new London office. Ben Williams, existing vice president of institutional business development, also joined the European team. Brackett previously co-headed the global consultant relations at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Johann served as business development manager for Wellington Management International in London.

Cordea Savills - Peter Johnson has been appointed group chief financial officer in a newly created position. Prior to joining Cordea Savills, Johnson was chief financial officer for Taylor Wimpey.

Aquila Capital - Lauren Damask has been made managing director and head of global client advisory. Damask previously led the global relationship activities for Lupus alpha Asset Management and was also vice president at Zurich Capital Markets in New York.
