NETHERLANDS - The Dutch investment manager XS Investments intends to set up a fiduciary management solution in the near future. "We are in talks with various parties, but it is early days," Oscar Pesch a director at XS, told IPE.

The service is likely to be separate from the firm's partnership with the London multi-manager specialist Investment Managers Selection (IMS), the aim of which is to boost its institutional business in Europe.

London-based IMS, with £4.52bn (€6.6bn) of assets under management, said the partnership is in line with its long-term view for the development of a strong business matrix in northern Europe.

Anthony John, IMS managing director, said: "The key to long-term success in the Benelux and Nordic region is having a partner on the ground with an intimate understanding of the industry and its specific requirements."

Marlene Stam, a director at XS Investments, commented: "We are delighted to join with IMS to offer institutional investors flexible and transparent multi-manager investment solutions."

The Hague, Netherlands-based XS Investments, founded last year by Stam and Pesch, is an independent provider of multi-manager products to professional investors such as pension funds, banks, investment managers and insurers in the Benelux and Nordic markets.

IMS manages four retail funds of funds, Select, Global Select, Select Income and Select Opportunities.
