CSFB names European transition management head

EUROPE – Credit Suisse First Boston says it has hired Graham Dixon from crossing network E-Crossnet as head of European transition management.

CSFB said that Dixon would work with Rick Boomgaardt “to further develop the business to capture the increasing amount of advisory work from pension funds and other institutions wanting to restructure their portfolios”.

“We’re delighted Graham Dixon is joining CSFB to head our transition management business in Europe,” said Jim Kreitman, global co-head of CSFB’s equity division.

“He has a strong and successful track record in transition management and as a proven business builder in this area, Graham brings a wealth of experience that will help us further develop our European platform.”

Dixon was at E-Crossnet as a consultant after being made redundant from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 2002, said Alex McDougall, E-Crossnet’s business development manager.

Dixon, McDougall and E-Crossnet chief executive Nigel Foster had all worked together at MLM. Dixon was never on the payroll at E-Crossnet.

“We respect Graham’s decision to take on new challenges,” McDougall said. He added that Dixon had been “instrumental” in the recent deal, which saw State Street Corp. become a participant and shareholder in the European equity-trading platform.
