FINLAND – The Central Pension Security Institute in Finland has launched a website for occupational pensions, and says it expects 200,00 visitors to the site in the first year.

“The possible users of this Internet service include about two million bank clients using the Internet for their bank affairs or owners of an electronic ID card,” the institute says. “During the first year, an estimated 200,000 persons will visit this web service.”

The service went live on December 9 and is in Finnish, Swedish and English. The institute is the statutory central body for the state earnings-related pension scheme.

“This web service provides one common and up-to-date connection to the earnings related pensions,” it says. “It’s a portal to the administratively decentralised earnings-related pensions scheme.”
