UK – Hymans Robertson has named Jan Burke as manager of its scheme design and management practice at its London, Birmingham and Glasgow offices.

Burke joined the firm in September 2003 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was director in the London retirement practice. The firm said the role had been vacant for “a little while”.

Burke, Brian Nimmo and Alison Murray were named partners, taking Hymans’ total number of partners to 22.

The firm said the scheme design and management practice helps funds select administrator and assists in investment and risk benefits.

Nimmo, who joined Hymans in 1996 as an actuarial student, works in the actuarial practice in London. Murray joined in 1999 and moved to the Glasgow actuarial practice in 2002.

“The appointments reflect the continued, successful growth of the firm,” said senior partner Ronnie Bowie. “They also represent a very meaningful commitment to the further strengthening of our senior resources across our consultancy and actuarial practices.”
