UK- Actuarial and consulting firm Hymans Robertson has launched its international consulting practice and announced the appointment of Keith Faulkner as its head.

Faulkner has come out of retirement but was previously at William M Mercer for more than twenty years, almost ten of which as European head of international consulting.

Hymans Robertson is best known for actuarial, investment and benefits consulting work in the UK but the launch of an international practice follows its joining the network Milliman Global last May.

Milliman comprises thirty actuarial and consulting firms and Faulkner says Hymans can consequently offer advice to multinational clients on their overseas employee benefit plans. The new unit is, he says, a resource through which clients can access other Milliman members.

Ronnie Bowie, head of employee benefits, says when Hymans joined Milliman, its intention was to launch a London-based international practice.

“Our intention is to work with clients in the UK and around the world to satisfy the growing demand for professional, business-focussed advice with respect to international employee benefits.

“This new practice is being established for the benefit of all members of Milliman Global,” he says.
