IPE-QUEST - An industry-wide pension fund based in continental Europe is conducting a search for asset managers to provide a passive exposure to US equities, using IPE-Quest.

Details of QN1107 reveal the pension fund is looking to invest in either a fund or mandate that replicates the S&P500 Equal Weight Index.

Minimising tracking error is key, according to the investor.

The pension fund is looking to allocate $150m (€123m) to the strategy.

Prospective managers should have a minimum track record of two years and performance data would need to be supplied net of fees.

Closing date for submissions is 25 June 2010.
