UK – The UK’s new Pensions Regulator has named three executive directors for strategy, business delivery and business support.

It said Charlie Massey, June Mulroy and Mark Eade were appointed following a process of open competition for the roles.

Massey is a civil servant at the Department for Work and Pensions and headed up the division that designed the pension Protection Fund. He joins on September 1.

June Mulroy joined the regulator in an interim role in February this year. Before that she was most recently interim chief accountant at UNESCO. Mark Eade is a chartered management accountant who set up the corporate infrastructure of the independent regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts.

Chairman David Norgrove said: “Between them, the new directors bring a wealth of strategic management and finance expertise from across the public and private sectors.

“I am confident they will ensure that the Pensions Regulator meets its objectives, working closely with trustees, employers and advisers to protect members' benefits and promote high standards of scheme administration.”
