FRANCE – The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development is to hold a meeting of national accounts experts – with public pensions on the agenda.

The OECD’s National Accounts Experts' meeting takes place on October 7-10 in Paris. October 7 sees a session devoted to the treatment of public pension schemes.

The meeting will review the interim report of the moderator of the International Monetary Fund’s electronic discussion group on pension schemes and the interim report of Eurostat’s task force on pension schemes.

Also on the agenda is a paper called “Recent developments in occupational pension plan accounting” by the OECD’s Juan Yermo.

According to the meeting agenda: “No decision is expected from the meeting at this stage of the discussion.”
