EUROPE - The Bank of New York has launched a web-based portal providing customised accounting and performance reporting information for European pension clients.

INFORM Central, an add-on to the existing INFORM system, will be made available to all clients who use the bank's investment accounting services. It will enable users to view graphic highlights of data and access underlying information.

The system also uses 'push technology' to provide bespoke reports for clients.

"The system showcases our commitment to deliver flexible information-based services that enable our clients to manage their financial assets in real time, anywhere in the world," said Robert Darmanin, head of European pensions and custody.

INFORM is already accessed by more than 43,000 users, representing 5,700 customers.

Meanwhile, web-based data firm Performance Explorer announced it has been appointed by Bank of New York to provide performance and benchmarking for securities lending.

The bank is submitting its global lending program to the Performance Explorer service, it said. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Performance Explorer collects aggregated data on more than 1.7m securities lending transactions for over 190,000 securities and more than 20,000 portfolios.
