ANZ Investment Bank is launching a new web-based foreign-exchange trading platform in Europe and Australasia. The product, anzcom FX Online, was developed in partnership with Reuters, ANZ says.
“The internet is rapidly taking over from proprietary systems because of speed, economies of scale and cheaper web-based delivery,” says Chris Cooper, global head of foreign exchange at ANZ Investment Bank.
The product gives customers a free electronic service through which they can transact spot, forward and outright foreign exchange, says ANZ. A direct feed from the bank gives access to real-time pricing. There is also a live chat facility for clients, letting them have direct contact with their ANZ trader when they trade.
