EUROPE - Aon Consulting and multi-manager investment house Russell Investments are teaming up from July this year to deliver pension funds a full fiduciary management service.

Described as the Aon Integrated Pension Solution, the service is designed to marry Aon's pensions and investment consulting skills with the management of pension fund assets and liabilities.

Russell Investments has been trying to break into the mainstream European fiduciary management market for some time by offering what is labels as "implementation services", alongside its LDI and multi-manager services.

A joint statement issued today by the firms said the service has been created to "provide a much-needed management framework that ensures pension schemes can take full advantage of all opportunities that present themselves and offer an efficient means of achieving objectives".

It is unclear at this stage what the pensions target market will and in which European countries the venture will operate as Aon officials were unable for comment at the time of publication.
