The Swedish government has postponed its proposal to cut the AP-fund in half. Minister of Finance Erik Asbrink commented that neither of the two proposals: either the shifting of half of the assets to the state directly, or the gradual shift of some Skr20bn ($2.6bn) yearly, would be passed by parliament this spring.

A decision has been taken that the state will be compensated for the new costs brought about by the reformed pensions systems by taking some Skr45bn from the AP-fund for the next two years.
