GLOBAL - Mike O'Brien, former head of EMEA institutional business at BlackRock, has been named global head of JP Morgan Asset Management's (JPMAM) newly formed institutional client group.

O'Brien, whose departure from BlackRock was reported by IPE in June, will be based in London and report to JPMAM's chief executive Mary Callahan Erdoes, while also joining the JPMorgan Chase's executive committee.

Erdoes said: "Mike's impressive institutional experience, proven track record and extensive global perspective will continue to enhance our offering to major institutional investors in every corner of the world."
