MSCI has launched two new regional Asian indices – the MSCI Zhong Hua and the MSCI Golden Dragon.
The two indices are aggregates of existing ones. The Zhong Hua takes in the MSCI Hong Kong Index and the MSCI China Free Index while the Golden Dragon is an aggregate of the Hong Kong Index, the China Free Index and the MSCI Taiwan@65% Index.
The indices are calculated in US dollars, with and without dividends reinvested. History is available back to the end of 1992 for the Zhong Hua and back to September 2, 1996 for the Golden Dragon. Value and growth style indices are also available for both new aggregate indices, MSCI said.
