NETHERLANDS - Jan-Willem Dijkhuis, former director of Dutch real estate investments at asset management firm Mn Services, has set up his own consultancy firm for the financial and real estate sector.

He's teamed up with Mariëtte Meulman, a former real estate broker at Dutch real estate chain Meeus, under the name Lymos. They plan to advise on real estate and real estate related transactions.

Dijkhuis and Meulman joined forces in May after Dijkhuis decided to leave Mn Services to strike out on his own.

Dijkhuis said the firm, located near Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, would focus on private equity and finance in real estate.

Lymos provides consultancy for institutional and corporate clients in the direct and indirect markets, and asset and property management, consulting non-listed real estate funds, advising institutional investors when entering new funds, developing real estate investment strategies, and assisting fund issuers in acquiring new capital.

Currently, Lymos services an unnamed American investor and aids a Dutch corporation, structuring its services inside and outside the Netherlands. The company prefers to keep its clients anonymous.
