GLOBAL - Cardano, Towers Watson, LCP, Edmond de Rothschild AM, JP Morgan AM

Cardano - Marc Roper and Michael Kransdorff have joined the fiduciary manager's London-based team, with the former being appointed to the Solutions team, the latter to the Investment team. Roper joins from KPMG's investment practice, where he worked from 2007. At KPMG he was an investment consultant, specialising in Liability Driven Investment, asset-liability modelling and investment strategy advice. Kransdorff has two Masters degrees, including one from Harvard University, and has worked at the Cato Institute in Washington D.C., Investec Bank and PwC. 
 
Towers Watson - Helen Dowsey has joined as a senior investment consultant in the consultancy's expanding defined contribution (DC) business. She re-joins from Aon Hewitt, where she was a principal for the last three years. Prior to joining Towers Watson in 2005, she was a relationship manager at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.

LCP - The consultancy has promoted three members of its actuarial, investment and pension administration teams to partner. Ian Mills joined LCP's investment department in 2009, having qualified as an actuary in 2003. He previously worked at Credit Suisse and served as a trustee of their UK pension fund. Roma Burke became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland in 2003. She is scheme actuary to a number of Irish pension schemes. Daren Newman joined in 1996 and is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute.

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management - Thomas Gerhardt has joined the company as head of the emerging markets and commodities division. He will take up his duties from 1 September. Gerhardt began his career at KPMG and subsequently moved to the equity fund management section of DWS Investments in 1994. He has been managing the emerging markets equity team at DWS since 2000.

JP Morgan Asset Management - John Anderson has been appointed as a portfolio manager in the fixed income team. He will manage the £52.8m JPM Sterling Corporate Bond fund, as well as institutional mandates. He joins from Gartmore Asset Management, which has been acquired by Henderson Global Investors. He has also held senior positions at Cooperative Investment Management, National Provident Institution and BWD Rensburg Unit Trust Managers.
 
March Gestión de Fondos (MGF) - The asset management company of Banca March has appointed José Ramón Aranda as head of distribution. Prior to joining MGF, Aranda was a director at Credit Suisse Asset Management Spain, responsible for distribution. He started his professional career in 1994 in London at Santander Investment and West Merchant Bank in the Latin American Equities divisions. In 1999 he moved to the Institutional Asset Management unit of Chase Manhattan Bank in Madrid.
