UK - The £8.5bn (€12.65bn) Greater Manchester Pension Fund has re-appointed consultancy firm Hymans Robertson as actuary and consultant, it was announced today.
The firm's contract had come to an end in May, when fund administrator Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council in Ashton-under-Lyne tendered the five-year brief on the European tenders database.
The administrator today announced that the firm would continue its actuarial and general investment consultancy service for the fund after it re-tendered, according to a spokesman fro Tameside.
Out of four participants in the tendering process, Hymans Robertson proved to be the most economically advantageous in terms of for instance track record and financial standing.
The total final value of the contract is £731,000 the fund said, adding the contract was awarded on November 24.
