A draft law proposing radical transformations to the Greek pension fund system is set to be submitted before parliament this month, although its exact contents are still shrouded in secrecy and dispute.

Expected issues to be adressed by the draft include the licence regime for fund management of Greek private pension schemes, as well as the suggested deregulation of state pension reserve funds to allow them to be invested in mutual funds. These reserves are believed to have a value of some DR3.5trn.
