Stoxx, the joint venture between Dow Jones and the German, French and Swiss exchanges, has launched eight indices to cover the Nordic Region - Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. This addition to the Dow Jones STOXX indices lets in-vestors treat this region as one market.
The Nordic indices consist of a broad Dow Jones STOXX Nordic index taking in 117 companies, and as a subset of this, a blue-chip index – Dow Jones STOXX Nordic 30. Each will be available as a price and total return index, in either euros or dollars. The euro price index is available real-time, while the others are disseminated at the end of the day.
