ITALY – The 1.2 billion-euro Italian pension fund for surveyors has put out to tender two mandates totalling 150 million euros.
The Cassa Italiana di Previdenza ed Assistenza dei Geometri Liberi Professionisti, the assistance and providence fund for surveyors, is looking for managers for a 100 million-euro balanced mandate, and a 50 million-euro global equities mandate.
The fund itself was established in 2000 and provides pensions for 10 surveying companies, with assets of around 1.2 billion euros.
In terms of asset allocation, the scheme is split 50:50 in equities and fixed income investments. Current asset managers are Fineco, Scottish Widows, Arca, Pioneer, DWS, AXA Investment Managers, AXA Rosenberg, ABN Amro, Banca Popolare di Sondrio, San Paolo IMI Institutional and Monte Paschi.
Interested parties must email dscatena@cassageometri.it before the end of day on September 12. Those managers which comply will then be given a questionnaire to fill in and return by October 6. The appointments will be made before the end of the year.
