ITALY – Italy is one of the main topics – alongside the pension fund directive – to be covered at the forthcoming European Pension Schemes Summit in Rome next month.
Andrea Scaffidi, finance director of pension fund body Mefop, will present an overview of the Italian pensions market. The session will be chaired by Ambrogio Rinaldi, director of supervision and research at pension fund supervisor Covip.
Other speakers on the topic include Enel Pension Fund director Stefano Pighini, Covip general manager Elisabetta Giacomel and Sergio Corbello, president of Assoprevidenza, the Italian pension fund association.
The development of Italian asset management industry will be covered by Assogestioni president Guido Cammarano.
Meanwhile, the pension funds directive will be discussed by Jos Verlinden who is a director of the European Federation for Retirement Provision and a consultant at Belgium’s M&P Consult.
The conference takes place in Rome on September 4-5.
