UK – Legal & General (L&G) has selected two Dresdner RCM funds as part of its stakeholder pension offering - the £40.2m (€64.6m) DRCM global equity fund and the £148m (€238m) DRCM UK equity fund.
Both funds, taken from the recently converted OEIC range, are designed to outperform their chosen benchmarks - the MSCI World Index and the FTSE All Share – by achieving capital growth through investments in international equity markets and UK growth stocks respectively.
Says Randle Williams, head of retail pensions at L&G: “The funds that have been selected to participate in our stakeholder platform have been chosen to augment our investment approach of a ‘core’ in tracker funds with ‘satellite’ investments in active funds. Stakeholder pensions will be part of the financial services landscape for many years to come and consumers need to know that their pensions are invested in a fund that we believe can deliver capital appreciation over the long term.”
