GLOBAL - BlackRock, HSBC Workplace Retirement Services, Oddo Asset Management, International Standard Asset Management, CMA, Henderson Global Investors, AXA Real Estate Investment Managers

BlackRock - Simon Beresford and Neil Purvis have both joined BlackRock’s UK defined contribution (DC) business. Beresford joins as chief operating officer of the Peterborough DC administration centre, a newly created role. He joins from the Nationwide Building Society, where he was head of mortgage administration. Purvis has been appointed head of DC member communications. He was previously head of international human resources at the firm.

HSBC Workplace Retirement Services (WRC) - Mark Winstanley has been appointed senior client relationship manager, joining from PwC, where he spent more than 12 years as a client consultant in the investment practice. Winstanley is an actuary and Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute. In 2010, he was co-author of a research paper entitled ‘Default Options in Workplace Personal Pensions’, produced on behalf of the UK Department for Work and Pensions.

Oddo Asset Management - Lorenzo Gazzoletti has joined as deputy managing director in charge of developing Oddo’s institutional clients business. He has also become a member of the executive committee. He replaces Jean-Philippe Taslé d’Héliand, who has been appointed chairman of Oddo Banque Privée. Gazzoletti has served as chairman at La Banque Postale Gestion Privée since its creation in 2008 and also developed the joint venture between Oddo & Cie and La Banque Postale.

International Standard Asset Management (ISAM) - Rupert Douglas has joined as head of European sales. Most recently, Douglas worked for RAB Capital, where he focused solely on European sales. Before then, he worked for Maple Leaf Capital, a single strategy volatility fund. He started his career at SG Warburg, before heading to Hong Kong to work as a futures and options salesman at Jardine Fleming. 

CMA - The credit information specialist has appointed Steve Tucker as global head of sales. Prior to joining CMA, Tucker most recently served as head of investment management and trade processing at Thomson Reuters. Before then, he was sales director at FFastfill, followed by working independently as a business development and sales strategist.

Henderson Global Investors - Andrew Friend has been promoted to head up the UK distribution team for Henderson’s property business. As director of institutional business, Friend will be responsible for the London-based property distribution team, which focuses on the UK, German, Nordics and Benelux regions. He has been with Henderson for 11 years, predominantly as fund manager of the UK Retail Warehouse fund.

AXA Real Estate Investment Managers - Riccardo Dallolio has been appointed European head of transactions. He will be responsible for securing large pan-European transactions and co-ordinating all deal activity in Europe. He joins after six years at Grove International Partners, where he was a partner. He has also worked at JP Morgan Investment Banking and JP Morgan Partners Real Estate Group.
