ITALY – Mediafond, the supplementary pension fund for workers in Italy’s private radio, television and media sectors, has put out an RFP for managers for its assets.
The fund’s assets total €2.6m although this is expected to rise to €8m by 2004. It currently has just under 2,000 active members with a full potential membership of 3,500.
Mediafond is looking to appoint one manager for a three year period to manage a balanced mandate comprising pan-European equities, pan-European fixed income and cash.
The equities portion will represent no more than 30% of the asset allocation and the cash element no more than 10%.
The initial RFP will run until March 31 when Mediafond will draw up a shortlist of three managers for the second round of the search process.
