Jørgen Leschly has left SkandiaLink, the Danish Unitlink arm of Skandia group, to start a new consultancy, DCG Consulting, based in Copenhagen.
DCG provides advise on theunitlink system, set up by private pension insurance companies, through which pension funds use external fund managers.
DCG also advises institutions on relationship management, an aspect that Leschly feels is very important for benefits consultants. “Relation management is about providing access, through a database, to a single view of the customer. It is important within an insurance company to get a comprehensive view of the customer in one look, rather than having to consult several systems,” says Leschly.
According to Leschly, the relationship management business in Denmark is booming and DCG is one of the few consultants who provide services in the field.
DCG works in co-operation with MemoBase, a Danish database provider, with 20 years experience in relevant programs. MemoBase provides their own computer software for the clients’ needs.
Following Leschly’s departure from SkandiaLink, there has been a restructuring of the department and no replacement was made.
