SWITZERLAND - A new Swiss pension consulting firm has been set up by former senior staff at Complementa Investment-Controlling AG.

Zug-based DL Investment Partners AG has been set up by partners Alexander Dimai and Thomas Leupin to advise institutional investors on tailored investment solutions.

"The company focuses on alternative asset classes and active investment management," it says.

Dimai was formerly head of project business at Complementa. From 1999-2000 he was a manager consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Zurich.

Leupin, a former Swissair pilot, was vice president and investment controller at Complementa, having joined the firm in 2002. He advised several large institutional clients (mostly pension funds) in asset allocation. He was also responsible for its hedge fund competence centre.

Dimai is scheduled to speak at the Hedge Funds World event in Zurich in November.

Complementa, founded in 1984, is one of the leading Swiss pension consultants. It focuses on investment consulting, performance reporting, investment controlling and accounting. It has a vacancy for investment controller on its website.

Earlier this month Complementa teamed up with various partners to launch a new website aimed at improving transparency of hedge funds for Swiss investors called www.hedgegate.com.
