Barclays Capital says Scottish Widows chose a component of its sterling bond index as the benchmark for its new UK long-dated corporate bond fund.
Scottish Widows will benchmark the new fund against the Barclays Sterling Bond non-Gilt over 10-year index. The asset manager says it opted for the index "because of the quality of its historical data, ongoing accuracy of its pricing and increased flexibility of a web-based application which will allow us greater control".
